Capture notes, keep useful prompts, and find your work again. Updated October 3, 2026.
Start with your writing
Open My Library. Choose Notes for everyday writing, Saved prompts for reusable instructions, or Drafts for unfinished prompts.
Choose New note or New prompt. Give it a title you will recognize later.
Check the save status before closing. A device draft is not the same as a confirmed account save.
Common tasks
Find and copy a saved prompt
Choose Saved prompts in My Library. Search by words you remember, or open Folders to browse its tree and contents. Select a prompt, expand its text if needed, and choose Copy prompt. Copying does not send it to an AI service.
Platform and Community Prompts are catalogs. Save a useful prompt to My Library to find it alongside your own work.
Finish a draft and share it
Open Drafts, choose the prompt, and finish editing. Save it to My Library privately first. Public sharing is a separate request for review, not a side effect of saving. Until approved, it stays private.
Archive or remove a note
Use the note’s actions to archive finished work. The Archive folder keeps it separate from active Notes. Move to Trash removes a note from the active list; open Trash and Restore to bring it back. If it was archived, it returns to Archive.
Save or recover unsaved changes before moving a note. Removing a folder keeps its writing.
Remove prompts and community contributions
Use the prompt’s removal action. Removing a saved copy does not delete the creator’s original. Deleting a prompt you own is a different action; read its confirmation carefully.
Open My contributions to withdraw your Board posts, replies, profile posts, comments, and community Guides. Withdrawals are retained. Restore returns them to a private draft, not to public view. Other people’s replies are not deleted.
Browse and manage folders
Choose Folders in My Library to open the explorer. Its tree, breadcrumbs, Back and Parent controls navigate your folders. New folder creates a folder at the current location; Rename / move folder lets you change its name or parent.
Choose All writing, select notes or prompts, then use Move to and Move selected. Choose Trash in Move to, or use Move to Trash, to remove selected writing from active lists. Dragging writing onto Trash does the same. Open Trash in My Library to see both notes and prompts; Restore or Restore selected keeps their saved versions, folder membership and order. The moved notification has Undo and an X. A folder’s X or a folder dropped onto Trash moves its organization to Trash while keeping all its writing. Folder Restore brings the organization back. You can also drag a row onto a folder. List and Grid show the same writing. Search finds names in the current folder. Drag column edges to resize them and drag column headings to reorder them. Alt + Left or Right moves a focused column heading; Alt + Up or Down reorders writing within its topic.
A folder’s X removes its organization while keeping every note and prompt. Immediate Undo or Removed folders → Restore brings it back. The header X closes the explorer. On a small screen, Folder tree shows and hides the navigation pane.
Use a small window or Focus view
Close Folders and hide the document list when you want more room to read or write. On a narrow screen, use the list control to return to your documents. Focus view hides distractions; Exit Focus brings navigation back.
Chat and Focus are movable floating controls. You can drag them, or focus one and hold Alt while pressing an arrow key. Space Reset clears the visual workspace and returns controls to the right edge. It does not delete writing, drafts, or conversations.
Understand saving, offline work, and conflicts
Use the same signed-in account to access server-saved work on another device. An internet connection is required for account synchronization. Keep the current window open if a save fails; follow recovery or retry instructions and export important work before clearing browser storage.
If another device changed a document, compare the versions instead of overwriting blindly. A local recovery copy is only on that browser until successfully saved or backed up.
Adjust readability and navigate without a mouse
Use the appearance control for light or dark mode and Accessibility Settings for reading preferences. Browser zoom is also available. Tab moves between controls; Enter or Space activates buttons and disclosures. Escape closes supported dialogs and drawers. Visible focus outlines show the active control.
Back, Forward, and Home work within the website and installed app. The top navigation always leads to My Library, Platform Prompts, Community Prompts, Guides, and The Board.
Bring prompts from existing conversations
At the end of Take a tour, choose Copy consolidation prompt and use it in your own AI tool with a few selected chats or project files. You can read and manually copy the same prompt below. The AI tool can use only material you provide or it can actually access; this does not give it access to your entire chat history or every project.
Reviewing many chats or project files can use a lot of your AI tool’s usage allowance and may incur charges. Start with a few projects or chats and work in batches.
Read or copy the consolidation promptView the exact import JSON template
Review the result for accuracy, sensitive details and missing context before saving it. The consolidation prompt and a JSON response do not certify that the material is complete, confidential information has been removed, or legal checks are finished.
Choose Open prompt import in My Library. Upload the resulting prompt-list JSON or paste it. You can also choose a ChatGPT conversations.json file or a Claude conversation JSON export, or paste one prompt. The file is read in your browser; it is not uploaded.
Review and edit the candidates, select up to 20, and save them as private drafts. Only selected prompts are sent to your account. Assistant replies are omitted from conversation exports. Imported user messages may include follow-up questions, so choose the useful ones.
If a save cannot be confirmed, check My Library before importing that item again. Confirmed saves stay saved. Public sharing is a separate action.
Export your work or install the app
Account & data provides a portable library ZIP and account JSON. Prompt exports include your private writing and saved versions only. Unsaved Platform and Community catalog prompts are excluded. Download backed-up attachments separately. Store exports securely because they may contain private writing.
Add to desktop opens the same platform as an app. It is not a separate account or a separate copy of your library.
Hide and restore chat messages
Choose Hide for me beneath a message to hide its text in your account. Restore message brings it back. This preference follows your account when chat refreshes on another device.
Hiding is not unsending or permanent deletion. The other participant keeps their copy; existing notification previews and exports are not erased.
Get help
Take a tour opens the in-app walkthrough. Feedback is for reporting a problem with the current page. Use Contact when you need an email reply; include the page, what you expected, and what happened. Never include passwords or payment details.
Announcements contains messages sent by IPROMPTIAM. These are separate from member chat.
People create and adapt prompts on IPROMPTIAM. The site does not generate prompts for you. Use an external AI tool of your choice, then keep the decisions, revisions, and lessons that made your work useful. Your library stays private unless you choose to share, and you can export it anytime.
